Natural Mini-Necklift in Atlanta, GA

Dr. Mike Majmundar, double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, performs natural mini-necklifts for the residents of Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, and the surrounding communities in Georgia.

The Natural Mini-Necklift is a procedure for individuals generally under the age of 45 who
have mild neck skin laxity and mild to moderate neck / chin heaviness. Candidates for this
procedure are interested in improving the heaviness in the chin / neck area and neck skin that is
prematurely aging.

Dr. Mike Majmundar is one of the few plastic surgeons in the country that offer mini-necklifts
which stems from his expertise in facial plastic surgery. The incisions are located completely
behind the ear and heal very well as a result of Dr. Majmundar’s signature Natural technique.

Our Natural Mini-Necklift shares many of the attributes of our Natural Necklifts.

  • Because the skin isn’t pulled tightly, there is less tension on the incision when sutured back together behind the ear. When skin is pulled too tightly, it can not only give a person a pulled
look but it also causes the scars to widen and become unsightly. This is a problem for women
who pull their hair back, wear their hair short, or for men who have short hair. By avoiding this
stress on the skin with the Natural Min-Necklift, the incisions heal almost invisibly allowing the
person to wear their hair any way they want.
  • When needed, neck liposuction is performed at no additional cost with the Natural Mini-Necklift to provide the smoothest contour to your new neckline and reduction in your double chin. A small quarter inch incision is required just below the chin.
  • Greater than 90% of patients undergoing the Natural Mini-Necklift do not complain about pain. Every person has a different pain tolerance and, as such, pain medicine is provided to every
patient; however, greater than 90% of patients undergoing this procedure use nothing more than
    Tylenol.

The downtime with the procedure averages 7-10 days. The first week, we ask our patients not to perform any heavy lifting, bending over, or strenuous activities. On day 7, we let our patients resume those activities but bruising and swelling usually takes, on average, 7-10 days from the date of surgery to resolve. Patients do not complain about pain with this procedure and most individuals will use Tylenol for pain relief if needed.

Surgery: Outpatient
Anesthesia: IV sedation or general anesthesia
Procedure Length: On average, 1 – 1 ½ hours
Recovery: On average, 7-10 days for bruising and swelling to resolve.
